Santh Balgi
This again is morphed usage of Santh Balgi. Long ago when Ankola was covered with dense forest Santh Balgi used to live here. A devout man used to sing bhajans and lived a frugal life. He used to move from place to place singing bhajans. On one such errand he was killed by a tiger. A small memorial was built at the spot. There is no idol here. A stone replica of a tiger is kept on the podium. Poojas are not performed here. However, a special offering called AINA is done here. There is a common belief that if a person misplaces any of his/hers belonging, he/she will get it back by offering an AINA here.
This gudi is on the left side of Hanuman Katta towards the Temple, and was renovated in AD1998.
